Eastside Runners Club

The Seattle area running club for every type of runner

Volunteer Opportunities

Eastside Runners is a nonprofit organization that depends on the dedication of its members to operate.  Volunteering helps both the club and the running community.  There are some regular events each year that need volunteers, and other opportunities that arise from time to time.

  • Mt. Si Relay and Trail Runs

This  is ESR's signature event.   It usually is held in April each year in North Bend, WA.  With 50 miles of course to cover, a large number of volunteers are always needed.  The next race will be held on September 19, 2021.  Volunteer signups will be available here.

  • Saturday Morning Run Leaders [ESR members only]

Our Saturday morning runs are the most popular ESR runs of the week.  All our run leaders are members who volunteer their time laying out routes, creating maps, finding suitable breakfast spots, and ensuring that new-to-the-course runners find their way.  There are other specific tasks that the run leader must do.  If you are a member, look for the signup that is emailed out each quarter.

  • Labor Day Half Marathon
Thank you to all our volunteers for the 2019 Labor Day Half Marathon.  Check back next year!  This year Eastside Runners will once again provide course monitors for the Labor Day Half Marathon in return for a stipend granted to the club.  We’re in need of volunteers to direct runners the morning/early afternoon of September 2nd at Redmond Town Center.  Please see the sign up here:
