ESR Saturday Morning Run - Issaquah Olde Town to Tiger Mountain

  • September 21, 2019
  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
  • Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd S., Issaquah, WA 98027

This Saturday's run will NOT be held at Paradise Valley due to a race conflict.  Instead it will be held in Issaquah, heading up to the Tiger Mountain trails.   Here is some detailed info:

Driving Directions:  Meet at the parking lot for the Issaquah Community Center, at the intersection of Rainier Blvd. and Bush St.  Point your GPS to 301 Rainier Blvd S., Issaquah, WA 98027.

From I-90:  Take Exit 17, Front Street, and head south on Front Street.  Go through the light at Sunset and within the next two blocks look for Bush St.  Take a left on Bush Street, and then take a right OR left onto Rainier Blvd and park immediately.  Lots of parking here.  The run will start from the intersection of Rainier Blvd and Bush St.

Course description:  Run starts at 8:30am

There is a 3 mile and a 6 mile course.  About a mile of each course is paved and the rest is dirt.  Not suitable for baby strollers, and neither course will get you your 5k or 10k PR.  Both will start by heading east on Bush St. through Olde Town Issaquah towards the Sunset trailhead for Tiger Mountain.  From there the trail has a short climb up to the beautiful and scenic trails on Tiger Mountain.  Both courses loop over to High School Trail for the descent, and then come back to the parking lot on the paved Rainier Trail.

Those wanting extra mileage can choose their own adventure from the many trails available on Tiger Mountain, or run further up Rainier trail and connect it to the East Lake Sammamish Trail.

Note that the 6 mile course starts at the same place as the 3 mile course, although the starting location on this GPS trace is slightly different.

Breakfast location is currently TBD.

(Thanks, Doug, for the rapid replan!)
