6.4 mile route map
6.4 mile directions:
0.0 miles - Head north along the right side 8th Street sidewalk. When the sidewalk ends, take the crosswalk over to the trail still following 8th. Go past the “railroad station” to get onto the CKC and turn left (south).
2.8 Turn left onto 108thAve
3.25 Turn right onto 45th St. Keep going into the Kirkland watershed. Find your way out. Maybe I’ll mark the turns.
3.9 Come out of the Kirkland Watershed and head straight on 114th.
4.3 Turn right, go up the spiral ramp, and cross 405 at the overpass.
4.5 Cross 116th to the sidewalk and turn left.
5.4 Turn left and go back across 405 on this overpass.
5.5 Go down the ramp and straight onto 116th, then follow the road as it turns to become Slater Street. Run on Slater until it ends, then run on the trail.
6.2 Turn right onto the side trail. Run into Everest Park and back to the start.
6.4 Should be back by now.
0.0 miles - Same as the loop start, head north along the right side 8th street sidewalk. When the sidewalk ends, take the crosswalk over to the trail still following 8th. Go past the “railroad station” to get onto the CKC.
0.35 miles - Turn onto the CKC to go out and back. It goes north (right) about 3 miles and south (left) about 4. South gives the best views along the trail. From about 1.25 to about 2 miles you can look over Kirkland to see Lake Washington and the Seattle skyscrapers.
n.n miles - When you return, the “railroad station” marks where you leave the trail to get back to the park.
